Join us on Thursday, May 30 at 6 PM for the opening of the new exhibition The Sea, the City, and the Golden Hour: Impressionist Maritime and Urban Landscapes by Robert Padovano. Each painting will focus on the impact the light at golden hour has on the waterways and infrastructure of New York City. This exhibition will be on view in the museum's library and run through September 1.

From the Billion Oyster Project:

Billion Oyster Project hosts an annual Scy-posium as an opportunity for community scientists, artists, and advocates to showcase their research, learning, and other projects related to local waterways of New York Harbor.

The Scy-posium Poster Session and Networking Happy Hour is an in-person event, hosted on Governors Island, where community scientists can present their work and network over light refreshments.

Projects may include, but are not limited to: art, design & engineering, scientific research, advocacy, environmental justice, and more. Scy-posium presenters include community participants, community-based organizations, and university students.

Join us as we celebrate the amazing work being produced by members of the New York Harbor community! This event is open to all.
