Come joins us for an immersive walking tour of our operations on Governors Island. In this engaging 1-hour and 15-minute walking tour, You will learn all about oyster restoration, oyster history in NYC, oysters environmental benefits, and much more.</p> <p>What to expect:</p> <p>Dive deep into the intricacies of oyster restoration at the Billion Oyster Project. Explore local oysters up close with our touch tank, providing a firsthand look. Receive an informational walkthrough of our exhibit house and Shell pile.</p> <p>Things to Keep in Mind:</p> <p>The walking tour route includes uneven terrain and may not be suitable for wheelchairs or individuals with mobility limitations. The total distance covered is just under 2 miles. Participants with strollers or baby carriers should note that terrain and stairs may vary. These tours will be available throughout the field season ( May - November).
